Starter Media Production Kit

Sony A7iii

The Sony A7iii was my first big-kid professional camera. Although it was released in 2018, this camera still holds up to modern-day cameras in the world of content creation.

This is a great starter camera for anyone starting out in media production or content creation. If you’re serious about your passion, skip a cheap “starter” camera and begin your journey with this beast. I promise you will make the most out of your investment for years to come.

The first lens I would recommend to ANYONE getting started in any media field. Content creator, wedding videographer, you name it. The Tamron 28-75mm Di III RXD lens offers a wide range of focal lengths that will allow you to figure out what you like best during its use.

The best part? It’s affordable and incredibly light. Making this lens a great investment for shooting on the go and easy to use on a gimbal.

Getting started in media production is expensive, to say the least. However, if you need an affordable, yet reliable microphone. Here is your answer.

I still use this microphone for run-and-gun shoots as well as backup audio. Overall, it’s a great investment if you are not too worried about audio-intensive projects at the moment but still need reliability.

TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR SD CARDS!

One small mistreatment might lead to an unexpected card error at any time. Which is super unfortunate at the end of a full day’s worth of shooting! This case is a good way to keep cards clean and organized.

Great entry-level camera lens for portrait photography and low-light settings.

SanDisk Extreme Pro 256GB SD Card

Another affordable, yet reliable SD card for storing long shooting days and several hours of 4K Video. I use these cards to this very day on the A7iii and have never had an issue.
